Some people believe their possessions are what give them self-worth. However, they are forced to deal with the truth once those things are taken from them.
Take a guy named Jack, for instance. After working hard and graduating from college, he lands a job with a local law firm. Because of his instant success rate, he begins to make a hefty salary, which allows him to buy a luxurious condominium, along with a Mercedes Benz.
One day when he is getting into his car, he spots a girl from high school that he used to have a crush on.
"Well, how have you been Leslie," he says confidently.
She becomes startled at first, but after a few moments she recognizes him.
"Wow, I didn't even notice you at first," she said. "Is this your car?"
"Yep," he said. "I'm thinking about getting another Mercedes Benz. I could give you this one in exchange for a date."
Looking surprised she lets out a soft chuckle.
"You are a little bold aren't you?" she asks. "This is my first time seeing you in years and you don't even know if I'm available."
"Sorry for being so forward," he said. "But, how about we go out for some coffee later and I can pick you up in my car."
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind that," she said. "Your car is very nice."
After they exchanged contact information, he got into his vehicle and drove home feeling a sense of pride. On the way home, as he was driving down his street, out of nowhere someone backed into him causing significant damage.
When he finally got home after everything with the other driver was settled, all of the confidence he had before began to fade away.
"She's definitely not going to want to go anywhere with me now," he said. "My car is ruined. How am I going to pick her up in this?"
After finally getting up enough nerve, he called his date to let her know what happened.
"I'm so sorry," he said. "I think we will have to postpone our coffee shop date for a few weeks. I just got in a car accident and I can't imagine picking you up in a wrecked danh gia xe mercedes c200 Benz."
"That's okay," she said. "I can pick you up."
"No, I couldn't let you do that," he said. "I know you really wanted to ride in my car and you are so beautiful you deserve nothing but the best. I also understand if you don't think as much of me anymore."
"Do, you really believe, I only wanted to go with you because of your car?" she chuckled. "Look, I don't care what kind of car you have."
"Really?" he asked.
"Yes, really," she said. "However, I can't lie. I was looking forward to riding in a Mercedes Benz for the first time."
They both laughed as their conversation went on for the next hour.
