Well, if we were told to look at what makes something healthy, what is the most valuable factor in that? If the most valuable factor in weight control was our brain, what would be it? Is there any way a person might find that important to them? I'm not saying there's such a thing as a healthful brain and I'm sure there isn't, but it's an interesting discussion. Do you have one good way to make sure that your brain is doing what it should be doing for you? How do you fix and strengthen what's broken? These are all questions that need to be addressed.

We need to make a lifestyle that is in tune with who we are. This means looking at what works for some individuals, and what does not. One of the things that has caught the attention of weight loss specialists is "the body is one complex part (or maybe it's more like it's two, you know the body is a bunch of many interconnected modules) that each function contributes to a whole; or more than that, what is the body supposed to be doing for itself?" The answer has changed quite a bit over the decades, but the gist remains the same - "The brain makes your body function; but if your brain's brain, your brain produces and controls what your body does."

In the modern world the importance of the brain, and of our connections with our own body, is one of the most important questions we must ask when studying this process. We're seeing great improvements in the brains of people who are taking action in ways that allow them to get rid of unwanted weight. But just as we must ask whether a lifestyle that allows for these changes is healthier or not will ultimately depend on a person's individual health and fitness.

Do you still find this to be a good resource?

Yes!! And I'm proud of the work that I've performed to provide that support, so please keep the feedback coming!

Why don't weight loss (taoli99.com) diets change people's brains?

They won't change those people's brains, in most cases they will change the behavior of the person who took part in the test (I'll discuss the study in more detail later). If we change the process and the people involved, then the brain changes won't happen (not in any kind of dramatic way!) and we won't see the result from studies like these. However, there are numerous studies that show what can happen after a lifestyle change of this kind.
