En el presente trabajo se analiza e interpreta información contenida en la bibliografía especializada existente y en algunas evidencias arqueológicas dejadas por los pobladoresdel Perú prehispánico a fin de establecer la existencia e importancia de los especialistas enaquellos tiempos:  los que administraban los símbolos relacionados con los grupos de podery de los artesanos, aquellos que si se les podía percibir a través de sus obras materiales.   Palabras clave: Especialistas, artesanos, símbolos, Perú prehispánico.

AbstractIn the present work, information contained in the existing specialized bibliography and in some archaeological evidence left by the inhabitants of pre-Hispanic Peru is analyzedand interpreted in order to establish the existence and importance of the specialists in thosetimes: those who administered the symbols related to the power groups and artisans, thosewho could be perceived through their material works.Keywords: Specialists, artisans, symbols, pre-Hispanic Perú.
