RESUMEN

El presente trabajo busca adentrarse en una nueva línea de investigación pedagógica relacionada con la importancia de crear espacios, formales y no formales, que respondan a las necesidades educativas de personas de la tercera edad. Para ello, no sólo es imperativo la creación de dichos espacios, sino, también, la formulación de métodos y estrategias didácticas acordes con las características biopsicosociales de este grupo etario. La promoción de la educación del adulto mayor es una necesidad de primer orden en nuestros días que la sociedad,mediante sus instituciones representativas, debe tomar en cuenta.

ABSTRACT

The present work thinks about how to penetrate into a new line of pedagogic investigation, related to the importance of creating formal spaces that they answer to the educational needs of the persons of the third age.For it, not only the creation of the above mentioned spaces is imperative, but, also the formulation of methods and didactic strategies according to the bio-psychosocial characteristics of this group.We believe that the promotion of the education in the biggest adult is a need for the first order in our days, to which the society, by means of his representative institutions, must take in consideration..
